Amanda Shekarchi is an arts and culture journalist, music critic., and radio show host. In 2023 she graduated from Toronto Metropolitan University where she studied Media Production. In 2024 CBC aired a documentary that she hosted and co-produced called “Playing By Ear” which spotlights blind and low vision musicians and how to find success in the music industry.
At Met Radio, Amanda covers festivals including Departure (Formally Canadian Music Week) and North by North East, As well as other pop culture events in the city. She also hosts the Met Radio collective show MET 30 every Monday at Noon. This music show highlights the top albums played on our station as well as local music news.
