‘High risk’ air quality smoke is choking up Toronto’s skies as Manitoba and Saskatchewan wildfires continue to get worse, smoke is drifting east, causing poor air quality and and reduced visibility. Environment Canada issued a special air quality statement today warning residents to take the necessary precautions, because as smoke levels increase so do associated health risks. The air quality health index rose to 9 this morning, but is expected to improve by this evening.
