Join us for fun and radio-making at Kids Radio Camp! Returning for the summer of 2025, we’ll be running camp August 5-8 and August 11-15 and are offering full-day and half-day options!
Half-day camp August 5-8 for kids aged 13-17 – 1PM-4:30PM
Over four afternoons, campers will get a chance to record in Met Radio’s studios and will end the week with a live studio broadcast. They will learn how to produce radio spots, conduct interviews, DJ, record music live in-studio and write scripts for radio. This hands-on week of radio will focus on having our older campers in the studio where they’ll gain practical skills in recording techniques and editing.
Full-day camp August 11-15 for kids aged 8-12 years – 9AM to 4:30PM
Our full-day camp is a week of fun radio-focused activities including:
- Writing and recording short radio pieces
- Writing and performing a radio play, including making sound effects!
- Recording live music in the studio
- Hosting a one-hour live music program at the end of the week
- Games and crafts
Met Radio is located on the campus of Toronto Metropolitan University. While we’ll be spending time in the studio, we’ll also get outside and take advantage of local green spaces!
Pricing:
Half-day camp regular price (4 days): $180 (HST included)
Full-day camp (5 days): $450 (HST included)
Half-day early bird discount*: $150 (HST included)
Full-day early bird discount*: $400 (HST included)
*to receive the early bird discount register and place a deposit on or before May 15, 2025.
TMU discount: Staff, faculty, students and alumni are eligible for a 15% discount
Low-income option: there are a number of spots that have been reserved for low-income families. These spots are offered at 60% of the regular price.
