Who We Are
Met Radio is a campus and community radio station located at Toronto Metropolitan University. We’ve been on the AM dial since 2016 and as a newer campus station our broadcast is focused on a multimedia approach to storytelling.
Located in downtown Toronto, Met Radio is in the heart of our busy city and serves our local community on and off campus. Our programming features a mix of voices and music with particular emphasis on spoken word programming and covering our local community.
What the Audio Amateurs Documentary Incubator is
The Audio Amateurs Documentary Incubator is a workshop series in two parts. The first part is open to our volunteer-base and the second part is open to all community members. Each week, the facilitator will host a different expert to introduce aspects of audio documentary production. Workshops will allow time for work, group listening, and feedback sessions, offering the opportunity to learn from each other in a production meeting setting. At the end of the series all participants will complete their own documentary piece.
The Position
Title: Documentary Incubator Facilitator
Term: September 15, 2025 to May 10, 2026
Salary: $25.00/hour
Expected working hours: 20 hours a week. Parts of this job will need to be done in person (6-8 hours per week), but hours can be flexible.
Job Requirements – Who You Are
Do you have a love for audio documentaries that you need to share with others? We’re looking for someone with experience in journalism and/or documentary production and some stellar audio production skills.
Duties
- Confirm and book workshop presenters.
- Work with staff and presenters to create documentation for the workshops, including handouts, slide decks, modules, and feedback forms.
- Promote and run the workshop series.
- Create training materials for training modules based on the workshops, that future staff and volunteers will be able to use.
- Specialized skills for this position include: audio production skills, able to plan and execute a regular series of workshops, detail oriented, excellent communication

- Volunteer or paid experience in a not-for-profit environment
- Strong organizational skills
