Presenting the easiest way to support your local radio station, while giving your books a second life! The Scope will be holding a used book sale on Saturday, October 18th on Gould St. during the Ryerson Alumni Weekend Gould Street Party, and on Monday, October 20 at in the lobby at 55 Gould Street. Sales on both days will take place from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm. All proceeds will go to support the station, and any leftover books will be donated to local charities.
We’re accepting donations of gently used books until October 16th. You can drop off donations anytime during our office hours. For more information, contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Emily Joveski, at volunteer@thescopeatryerson.ca.
We’re accepting:
- Paperback and hardcovers.
- Fiction and non-fiction
- Graphic novels
- Art / “coffee table” books
- Children’s and young adult books
- Audiobooks on CD
Please do not bring us:
- Outdated encyclopedia volumes
- Harlequin romance-type paperbacks
- Records or CD’s (besides audiobooks)
- Badly damaged or scrawled-on books
- Outdated Textbooks
- Magazines, pamphlets or archie comics.
