Ninety four advocacy organizations across Ontario are pushing back on the province’s bill targeting encampments and the use of drugs in public spaces. Members of the Encampment Justice Coalition have put forward a letter to Ontario Premier Doug Ford, arguing Bill 6 — the Safer Municipalities Act, causes “immense harm” and diverts police resources using public tax dollars.
