Festival celebrating musical innovation returns with stacked Toronto lineup
With a multidisciplinary cast of cutting-edge performers, this music festival— Women from Space— is celebrating musical innovation made by and for women this March.
On its first night, a triple line-up of local artists take the Toronto stage in The Annex neighbourhood, promising a mash-up of experimental and improvisational sound.
The festival runs from March 7 to March 9 at 918 Bathurst Centre.
Saxophonist and improvisor Bea Labikova started this festival seven years ago. As artistic director, she tells CJTM News what sound enthusiasts can expect this coming weekend.
